In the top of the sixth, Pence made a terrific sliding catch on Mets shortstop Ruben Tejada’s fly ball in foul territory. Pence then rolled, jumped up and threw a strike to home plate, doubling up a tagging Curtis Granderson.

Pence also got it done at the plate, driving in two of the Giants’ runs in a 3-0 victory.
