It has been a little over a month since Blizzard launched Overwatch 2. Since its release, the company posted news that the game has had over 35 million players during its first month. However, given that the game is roughly a month old, a variety of glitches and bugs have already been encountered and reported by the game’s player base. These issues can be as big as game-breaking exploits that give heroes insane amounts of damage, and as small as problems in visuals like tagging heroes in different categories than their original one.

On Reddit, user Clearvape shared a photo of the Overwatch 2 glitch they encountered while playing the game. In the image, the game’s loading screen was featured. However, instead of having the damage hero icon next to Widowmaker’s profile photo, the support hero icon was shown instead. Despite the issue in visuals, the Redditor poked fun at the bug. They stated in their Reddit caption that their team was likely not happy with their chosen Overwatch 2 hero composition, especially with the support hero combination.

Replies on the Reddit thread shared in Clearvape’s humor with comments also making fun of the situation that the Redditor shared. One seemed to jokingly point out that the glitch made sense, stating that Widowmaker’s Infra-Sight, her Ult in Overwatch 2, was clearly a support move. One Reddit user also shared their own experience with visual bugs, particularly when it came to hero portraits in-game. And some also made fun of Blizzard’s typical procedures and announcement messaging when the company has to address glitches that involve playable heroes in the game.

Despite the players reporting the many bugs and glitches they have encountered, it seems the Overwatch 2 player base is still interested in patronizing the title. With the new tank hero Ramattra being introduced and Season 2 for Battle Pass coming into the game soon, the community has a lot of content and activities to look forward to. Hopefully, Blizzard’s development team is able to address as many issues as they can before the release of the upcoming major content updates.

Overwatch 2 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
