The man who has kept up with quarterback production, Derrick Henry (foot), looks to be sidelined for at least the remainder of the regular season, so our list starts with even more of a quarterback run at the top. Mike White’s Week 8 performance should serve as a reminder to opt to go with a quarterback before any fringe flex starter. After we ranked him about as low as you can even consider (98), he was the No. 2 overall scorer in fantasy. It just goes to show how “easily” a player who is often viewed as a poor fantasy quarterback still has a higher floor and ceiling than a mere WR3. That said, don’t act surprised you see White (@ Colts) ranked above Elijah Mitchell (vs. Cardinals) and Trevor Lawrence (vs. Bills) ranked above Keenan Allen (@ Eagles).
WEEK 9 FANTASY: Sleepers | Busts | Start ’em, sit ’em
As always, we have our standard flex rankings, too, which, unlike positional rankings, are most important from the middle to the end. We have plenty of WRs toward the bottom of the list because they have the higher ceilings, but if you’re looking for a higher floor, at least in standard leagues, you should consider an RB who gets more guaranteed touches. Injuries to key running backs have opened the door to shared backfield and committees – meaning more viable RB prospects.
