That said, Mark Andrews will be out this week, so that will eliminate a top-five option for fantasy owners. Mike Gesicki, Trey Burton, Irv Smith Jr., and Kyle Rudolph will also be unavailable, so this week’s TE rankings aren’t quite as deep as usual. They will look even worse if Jonnu Smith (ankle) and Zach Ertz (foot) are out (UPDATE: Ertz is, in fact, out and will be for about a month after suffering a high ankle sprain​). 

WEEK 7 STANDARD RANKINGS:Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

Of course, thanks to the PPR format, a handful of players will rise because they usually get a decent amount of targets. Evan Engram (@ Eagles), Dalton Schultz (@ Washington), and Logan Thomas (vs. Cowboys) all average at least 6.2 targets per game, so they can be trusted as potential streamers especially, since they are facing weak NFC East opponents.

Another option for those seeking a fill-in TE could be Greg Olsen. The veteran is returning from a bye for the Seahawks, and he has averaged 4.7 targets per game his past three outings. He’s playing a Cardinals team that has had some issues defending tight ends the past couple of years, so perhaps this will be another opportunity for him to put up good numbers.

Fantasy owners might also be getting Noah Fant (knee) and Dallas Goedert (ankle) back this week. Goedert saw 17 targets in his two full games this year, so even if Ertz is active, Goedert will have value in PPR formats. Jimmy Graham (average of seven targets over his past four games) also sees a slight bump in PPR rankings, while Rob Gronkowski, fresh off a season-high eight targets last week, is also looking better.
