Our RB handcuff chart once again got a fresh update after last week’s roster moves and developments, and that will have an impact on potential handcuff claims to top backs. Additionally, we’ll be watching some of the top backs attempting to return from injury this week. Notably, Dalvin Cook was a surprise inactive after being expected to play against the Cardinals, so his status will bear monitoring ahead of Week 7.

Week 7 Rankings:Quarterback | Wide Receiver | Tight End | D/ST | Kicker

It’s also notable that there are four teams on bye this week, and with it, as many as four viable fantasy backs are out. Among them are Marshawn Lynch (Raiders), Chris Carson (Seahawks), Aaron Jones (Packers), and James Conner (Steelers). That will impact depth a bit, but the return of Alvin Kamara, Mark Ingram, and Kerryon Johnson from bye should make up for it a bit.

Keep a close eye on a couple of committees this week. The Jets have been splitting time between Bilal Powell and Isaiah Crowell, and it appears that may be an even split moving forward. Still, this week we like Powell just a bit more because he’s a good receiving back and the Jets may be forced to pass more against the Vikings defense. The other committee we’ll be watching is Gore and Kenyan Drake in Miami. Drake lost a goal-line fumble against the Bears in overtime and almost blew the game. That could push his value down even more, and that’s why we have Gore ranked above him at the moment.
