Not helping matters is the fact Gronkowski is on a short week. Gronk seems likely to be questionable, and while we currently have him ranked, he could be taken out if he’s inactive against the Colts. If he’s out, that leaves few – if any – consistent TEs available on the slate (not counting Travis Kelce, who will have a tough matchup against the Jaguars).

Week 5 Rankings:Quarterback | Running Back | Wide Receiver | D/ST | Kicker

This week, guys like Tyler Kroft (vs. Dolphins), Austin Seferian-Jenkins (@ Chiefs), and Ricky Seals-Jones (@ 49ers) should all have favorable matchups. Because of the TD-dependent nature of the TE position, these guys are risky plays. But for the desperate, TE-needy fantasy owners, these are the players that represent the most hope. It’s not going to be easy to find success at this position, at least in the coming weeks. But still, it is doable.
