Maybe we shouldn’t be so dismissive. After all, Kansas City’s Cairo Santos was a mere afterthought in most leagues before kicking seven field goals last week, nearly tying the record for most FGs made in one game. Santos only attempted one field goal in Weeks 2 and 3 combined, so his Week 4 outburst was certainly a surprise.
Santos’ seven FGs were good enough to get him in the top 10 this week, but we’re not going to chase the points and put him ahead of consistent stalwarts like Brandon McManus, Stephen Gostkowski, or Justin Tucker. They’re still the best of the best, regardless of matchup, but there are plenty of sleepers if your regular kicker is on bye (Graham Gano, Nick Folk, Blair Walsh, Andrew Franks) or got cut last week. Let’s take a look at the fantasy kicker rankings for Week 5 to see who are the best options.
