The tough matchups start with the Rams (vs. Vikings) and Vikings (@ Rams). Of course, after Minnesota’s complete debacle against the Bills, both offensively and defensively, perhaps the decision to start the Rams and/or Vikings has been made easier. The Ravens (@ Steelers) and Broncos (vs. Chiefs) are two other starting-caliber units that are outside our top 12 this week. The Packers (vs. Bills), Cardinals (vs. Seahawks), Jets (@ Jaguars), and Saints (@ Giants) jump into the top 12, but obviously none of those units are sure things (especially the Saints).

Perhaps the biggest bump this week goes to the Chargers, who get the benefit of facing C.J. Beathard instead of Jimmy Garoppolo. L.A.’s “other team” has disappointed fantasy owners this year, largely because of Joey Bosa’s injury, but this is a week for it to get right. Overall, this looks like yet another tough week for most D/STs on paper – and it’s only going to get worse over the next two months of byes.
