There’s rarely ever a reason to not play a quarterback as your superflex. Maybe you’re in a rare situation where you have three top-tier RBs because you were able to land James Robinson late in the fantasy draft. Even still, you’re more likely going to start a second quarterback because the floor of his production is so high and the ceiling is higher than the ceilings of most RBs, WRs, and TEs.

WEEK 4 PPR RANKINGS:Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight End | D/ST | Kicker

Our superflex rankings this week contain all 30 quarterbacks playing (Ben Roethlisberger and Ryan Tannehill are OUT after the Steelers-Titans game was moved due to COVID-19 concerns) and the lowest-ranked one checks in at 84. That’s Sam Darnold on a short week after a woeful performance against the Colts. Still, Darnold is above the likes of Zach Ertz, Mike Davis, Devin Singletary, Julian Edelman, and Preston Williams which may seem odd, but again, it’s all about Darnold’s floor. He could easily throw for a couple of TDs against a banged-up Broncos defense or rack up a ton of yardage. It may not be fun to start Darnold, but the opportunity will undoubtedly be there for him to outperform some of the lower-ranked players in the top 120.
