Some other surprise target-getters were Christian Kirk (12), KeeSean Johnson (10), Donte Moncrief (10), and Cody Latimer (8). Washington’s Terry McLaurin and Paul Richardson both had seven, while projected PPR ace Trey Quinn had six. One thing all those players have in common is their respective teams were trailing by two scores for much of the last quarter-plus, and in the case of the two Arizona receivers, both received an extra 10 minutes in which to pad their stats. There’s only so much we can take from these numbers, but these guys should at least be on your radars. The outlooks for preseason WR3s Allen Robinson II (13 targets), D.J. Moore (10), and John Brown (10) also got a little brighter after Week 1.

Mike Evans (five targets), Adam Thielen (3), and Stefon Diggs (2) were the biggest disappointments. Apparently, the Vikings were serious about their plan to run the ball more, and Thielen and Diggs could continue to see declines in overall production as a result. It will be something to watch going forward, especially this week in what looks like an even more difficult matchup in Green Bay.
The biggest thing to pay attention to this week is how the Patriots will divvy up targets among Antonio Brown, Julian Edelman, and Josh Gordon. Given the opponent (@ Dolphins), we expect all three to be fantasy relevant, but be prepared for anything to happen.
