This week, our strategy was to pay up for some of the RBs who will be in good matchups this week, as the pricing for them wasn’t too bad. After landing a few safe players there, we spent down at QB and TE and used a target-based approach to find some potential sleepers at receiver. The pricing made it easy to craft what looks like a quality lineup and we were able to land what is both a safe and underrated QB-WR stack in the process....

Brady’s as good a place to start as any – he threw for nearly 200 yards in the first half and was cruising, but a big lead meant he slowed down and finished with 217 yards. I am about to jinx myself in a big, big way, but it really has to be said so that ya’ll understand where I am coming from: I’ve been in the zone in terms of fantasy football since July. Every week I come on here and talk about how last week was a rousing success and how happy I am to see so many of our users getting substantially better at DFS and winning money....

The best game stack this week, at least for those seeking perfection, was from the Patriots-Bears, which featured three players (Mitchell Trubisky, Trey Burton, and James White). That kind of group makes sense, as you have an RB from the team expected to win and a QB-receiver from a team expected to be playing catch-up. These opportunities present themselves every week – you just have to find the right ones that fit into your DFS budget....

Nope. Even that creates acrimony and "board bets" within the office. This week, there seems to be contention over two quarterbacks moving in opposite directions. One of our experts (Bill Bender) has faith in both Andy Dalton (his "stud" pick) and Matt Ryan (his "sleeper" pick), but Brad Pinkerton says Dalton's hot streak is going to end in Miami, while Matt Lutovsky says Ryan will continue struggling in Carolina. Something's gotta give … twice....

The top D/ST waiver pickups will likely be the Lions (@ Packers), Bills (@ Jets), and Cardinals (@ 49ers), all of whom are owned in fewer than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues. The Broncos (@ Eagles), Panthers (vs. Falcons), and Chiefs (@ Cowboys) have especially poor matchups and are on the start-sit bubble. Last week was not a great one for our sleeper candidates. We got some solid performances out of Jalen Richard and the Redskins defense, but we also had some major whiffs. Raheem Mostert and Kenjon Barner each had just two carries despite seemingly being in high-volume situations, and at receiver, Jordy Nelson and Tre’Quan Smith didn’t do much either. This week, we’ll aim for a bounce-back performance with our picks....

Quick Hitters – Clemson true freshman QB Deshaun Watson will get his first career start in Saturday’s home game vs. North Carolina. In relief of Cole Stoudt in the first three games, Watson has connected on 29-of-41 throws (70.7 percent) for 479 yards and four TDs without an interception. Watson performed well in Saturday night’s 23-17 overtime loss at FSU. The five-star recruit from Gainesville, Ga., threw for 262 yards, and his two-yard TD run early in the fourth quarter put the Tigers ahead, 17-10....
