We fully understand that you might have to start some of these players. After all, with that many teams on bye, you gotta start somebody, but it never hurts to really take a look at your roster (and the waiver wire) and figure out if there are players out there with more upside. The mistake-prone quarterbacks we’re talking about include Kirk Cousins (vs. Lions), Daniel Jones (@ Washington), Nick Foles (@ Titans), and Jake Luton (vs. Texans). Cousins is prone to picks, Jones turns the ball over plenty and takes sacks, Foles has had issues generating yards, and Jacksonville’s duo lacks talent/experience. Six teams (Bears, Browns, Chargers, Vikings, Patriots, Steelers) take a break this week, but six teams return to the field, turning the WR2 and WR3 decisions into some tough ones based on matchups, quarterback play and deciding which WR will be the No. 1 option on his team this week, notably vof the Jaguars, Rams, Packers and Cardinals. Joining the bye-week players, two injured WRs, DeVante Parker and Emmanuel Sanders, are on track to return to the field, while only one, Pierre Garcon, has a possible major injury worry....

Despite all those losses to the rankings, Logan Thomas and Darren Fells are essentially the only potential streaming options returning to action in Week 9. They can both be trusted as potential top-15 plays, as Thomas has a TD in each of his past two outings while Fells has scored twice in his past three games. Tyler Eifert and Dan Arnold return, as well, but neither of those players have been particularly reliable this year, though Eifert is getting a good matchup against the Texans defense this week....

There are always going to be kickers that randomly put up good games. And occasionally, a stud will miss a long field goal and scoring swing can occur. That’s normal kicker chaos, but with the byes upon us, you may have to go to the free agent wire for a fill-in. That’s where sheer stupidity can set in from fantasy owners. There’s rarely a reason to carry two kickers (especially this week when Carolina’s Graham Gano and Washington’s Dustin Hopkins are on bye), and there are ever fewer reasons to use a waiver claim on a kicker....

It’s also worth noting that any of our selections could bust this week. We’re taking some chances here, as we don’t want to say anyone too obvious. A list of easy choices wouldn’t do anyone any good. You aren’t going to start the guys below over consistent, proven producers, but you’re probably not searching for fantasy sleepers if your lineup is set. However, even if that’s the case, our sleepers list can help you find value in DFS, as the prices of these players should be affordable....
