We’re taking a lot of trends into account, like Ben Roethlisberger’s struggles on the road, the Broncos punishing run defense that’s shut down three first-round backs already this year, Joe Flacco’s inability to get the ball to his wide receivers. If you own any of these players below, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to look over your bench (or the waiver wire) and see who else you is available for Week 4....

We should note that our rankings include a couple key injured players (Davante Adams and Michael Crabtree) and were made under the assumption that Marcus Mariota (hamstring) and Derek Carr (back) will play. If either are out, that will affect the value of Titans’ and Raiders’ receivers. (Update: Carr has been ruled out.) Because of the schedule, we begrudgingly put some players with tough matchups as high as the borderline-WR2 range while saving some of the lesser-proven players with favorable matchups for the WR3s....

Weekly top-10 back Aaron Jones will be idle this week, while the Lions trio of Adrian Peterson, D’Andre Swift, and Kerryon Johnson will be unavailable, as well. Jones’ absence will have the biggest impact on our rankings, but Peterson and Swift both garner flex consideration, so the position as a whole is a bit thinner. We’re bucking the QB-receiver stacking trend you normally see in a tournament lineup (and every week in the perfect DraftKings lineup review) – not because we’re trying to be contrarian; rather, Rams’ receivers and Todd Gurley are just too expensive. Plus, Jared Goff spreads the ball around so much, so you never know who’s going to hit in a given week. We’re fine taking that chance, as our RBs are undervalued and we have several high-upside WRs in good matchups....

As always, our bust predictions are just educated guesses based on tough matchups, lacking opportunities, and injury issues. If you don’t have a comparable replacement for a potential bust, feel free to start them. Even if you have a gut feeling that someone will pan out, you can follow that. Brady’s lofty ranking has as much to do with his matchup as it does his past two big games. The Jets are tied for the most fantasy points per game (FPPG) allowed to quarterbacks, and you can bet Brady will take full advantage on Thursday night....

4-Star Players Andrew Luck, QB, Colts. It’s not the easiest matchup — Houston allows 158.3 passing yards per game and doesn’t give up many big pass plays. Luck will have to be efficient in a 20-yard box, and so far he’s done that. He had less than 200 yards passing in both matchups against the Texans last year, but he also had two TDs in each game. He’ll do enough to be a low-end QB1....
